Hello, I'm trying to bake out a normal map using Render to Texture from an object that's using a material from the VRScan library. The resulting normal map is completely yellow, so I'm guessing its just not reading the height data in the VRScan material, which appears to be a rough surface. Is there any way I can capture the VRscan material detail in a normal map using Render to Texture?

This wouldn't be possible at the moment, as the VRayScans are "reported" as flat to V-Ray. We have a plan to implement an export function in a future update so you'll be able to get the normal map easily. We should be able to provide you with the height map though - just send us an e-mail to support@chaosgroup.comMiroslav Ivanov
