  • Shader Library Manager

Whats everyone using to manage their shader library? The max one is useless. Siger shaders is ok but could use some improvements. Anyone found anything else that is good?

    Very interested as well...
For assets management in general i would like to recommend https://www.designconnected.com/connecter/
For materials it is very much merge from scene to scene and relies highly on the memory to find an old scene with 'that particular material'

I have a library of parts and pieces that worked for previous projects. An example is, I did a house earlier this year with siding that turned out great. I deleted everything in the scene, except for the siding, and saved it into a library so I could merge it if needed. I do this so I get the UVW and V-Ray Displacement, too.

Yeah we are using connecter. It's awesome. I asked them if they could do something similar for material management but never heard anything back.

        Will keep looking....

Since there is a new material browser with material library in corona 1.7 release, maybe we will get something similar in vray soon

I wouldn't have said, but since I received no email back from their support I will go ahead. Maybe it'll cause a reaction..

I've been using Sigershaders Mat Repo and all was going well until a couple of weeks ago when I lost an entire subcategory of my materials. All my concrete shaders gone! :O I emailed their support with a detailed outline of what happened and got no reply, so I'm ditching it for now. I can't afford to lose entire libraries of materials.

Why not use the Project Manager? It has some great features?
