  • Glass sink & normals

Ok, I must be losing my mind because I've spend the past 2 hours trying to figure this out. I have to model & render this sink. http://www.aquawareamerica.com/famil...Sink+%2D+k4021

But I think I am having problems with normals no matter how I try to model it. There are always sides that aren't refracting, or not reflecting, or whatever! Basically my sink is looking like crap. With standard materials, I would just check 2-sided, but you can't do that with Vray materials.

Can somebody tell me how to get this right? Thanks in advance.

    Oh my.....

I can't believe I just wasted 2 hours trying to figure this out, when the whole time was just a simple problem with coplanar faces. Since I had the glass sink sitting exactly on the same face as the counter, it was always rendering out black w/ reflections so I was thinking it was normals. Then I just moved it up a hair and it's better now.

Same here Sometimes it helps to verbalize the problem and you see the answer
