Hello all,
I am thinking of replacing my current workstation with a new built AMD RYZEN Thread ripper 1950X. Here is my current WS specs.
2* Samsung DDR4-2133 16GB/2Gx72 ECC/REG CL15 Server Memory =32gb
2* Intel Xeon E5-2683V3 RETAIL 14 Core 28 Threads 2Ghz / Turbo 3GHz =56 Threads total
ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS LGA 2011-v3 motherboard
GTX 1080 Ti
Would it be a good idea for performance reason to replace my WS for AMD RYZEN Thread ripper 1950X built? Or would it be better to just upgrade my Xeon E5-2683 V3 to a better CPU. What Xeon CPU render fast with vray engine? I also need a PC that can handle marvelous designer as well.
