What is the correct way to use HairInfoTex and HairMat for 3dsMax Hair & Fur? I have tried many different combinations but couldnt find the workaround.
I have an fur object created with 3dsMax Hair&Fur.
I am trying to control fur color along strand and use HairInfoTex (position along strand) with default settings. I placed this map inside VrayHairMaterial transmission color. Render Effects with both mRprim mode, geometry.
Can't get any control on the hair length.
Tried to place the HairInfo Tex map in diffuse slot of the HairMat and a VrayMat as well.
Tried the random by strand index mode but I get a gradient mapping through the whole fur object.
I saw that in the documentation https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...d+Fur+Modifier to se the mRprim but for newer versions than 2015 to use geometry. Cant get the effect.
