  • Blend object using VrayEdgeTex with different materials

    Hello,

I already use this technique to blend interpenetrating objects using the same material. It's working great.
But now, i would like to use it with different type of material. I know it could be done with a complex material using only one VrayEdgeTex node but the time i would spend creating the material is more than modify the geometry itself.

I was thinking of a VrayEdgeTex node controlling multiple material where this one is pluged in. Like a new checkbox called "consider multiple material" under the already "Consider same object only".

Do you think it's possible ? Or a simple alternative already exist ?

    Thank you

I'm not sure if I understand correctly what are you looking for.
Would it be possible to explain a bit further the effect you are looking for.
A sample scene and desired output image would be very helpful.

My bad. As i assume it was only working per material i thought it will not work with multi material. But it does ! So you can forget my request.

As you can see, i put the round corner very large and it "blend" between the concrete and wood.

Thanks for the clarification, and I'm glad to hear that you figure it out by yourself
Very nice result by the way
