Does anyone have a script that will convert a mental ray proxy to a vray proxy, keeping the proxy's world XYZ position, rotation, and scale?
I have an old file with about a dozen mental ray proxies, copied (instanced) thousands of times and custom moved, translated, and scaled. There are no modifiers on the mr proxies; just the base object has been translated, rotated, or scaled on the world XYZ axes. I am not worried if I lose the materials during conversion.
I could break down the file into separate, unique files with only one version of the mr proxy and all its copies, if that makes it easier for a script to grab all scene objects and convert them, because they'd be all the same base object.
Thanks,
Matt
