  • Fog color clamping script

    Ok, here's a little script to clamp the rgb fog colors to 254, if there is a value of 255 it will be dropped to 254. Just copy it to your Max\UI\macroscripts directory , restart max and add it to a button or keystroke.

    note: it only applys to materials applied to objects in the scene, mateditor materials will not be changed.

          btw, it should work on any weird material setup you can come up with, shelac, blend, etc. but if you find one it doesn't get let me know.

                  Stupid question here, I know, but what does one have to clamp the fog-colors for? Think I missed that one...

                  But now I acknowledge my ignorance and am ready for learning...

                    Fog colors at pure white (255) cause all sorts of problems. Its basically a big no-no.
