  • Render nodes have 1.09.02r - my machine has 1.46.12

Are they incompatible? If I send a render from a machine running 1.46 to a node running 1.09 will it render okay?

    hi biglolly

no it won't work, because in 1.46 you have many diffrent parameters
and GI-methods that are not implemented in 1.09.
so you just have to update the render nodes with the same build as your
    machine

      Okay thanks for that.

What about if I'm using 1.09 and I'm rendering to a server running 1.46? Will that render okay?

I'm trying to render a scene at the moment, and the irradiance pass looks fine - nice and bright and colourful, but when the final render pass starts, it comes out all black?

you need to have all of your systems set up the same. same plugins, same texture paths etc.
