Is it just me or is the forum spammed by Chinese hackers every night? It is usually the first 8-9 New Topic pages and has been all week, if not longer.

Forums are dying in general. Takes 3 or 4 times as long to to get an answer to something than what it took few years ago. There's a handful of regulars here and that's it, the rest have moved on. Apparently FB is the new "forum", but I find that bloated by junk mostly

Yes I can see them too .
mostly from the open-for-public forums that I don't usually visit .
I hope chaos group team can fix it before it reach the other forum sections.

Seen a couple times in the last week, but this morning was particularly bad, 11 pages of garbage.

Not to contribute to the problem of migration, but where are people moving on to? Are there any particular FB groups, chatrooms or forums that are in right now, or are everybody just aimlessly dispersing?

I can not understand why everyone likes the facebook groups so much.
I find it impossible to find any older info, there is no easy to understand structure, no clearly readable format and it seems to favor super-short attention span, anything older than a day or even a few hours is already worthless and buried.
All forums seem to be dying as people move to FB abomination. It's a common complaint among many forums I visit.

Yeah, once Chaos acquired Corona the forum here died.

I think this is also due to vray next and the total chaos conference.
So there is hope.

But its sad. The support here used to be so good.
They're still very responsive in the phoenix forum!

If this forum dries up i dont know what id do! its by far the most powerful and critical feature of Vray.

Agreed, super gnu, but I'm pretty sure it won't dry up.
Even if it just ends up the dinosaurs helping each other out. I do think that Vray Next has been taking a lot of the developers time, so that is the focus at the moment.

Ha you nailed it Bobby, I definitely feel like a dinosaur. After being away pretty much since early Nov of last year I was surprised that looking at the forums there wasn't a lot that I missed which was kinda sad as a few years ago I would be reading for a couple days to catch up after just a week of absence. I'm cool with us old boys and gals helping each other out moving forward
