  • mutimattes not outputting pure colours.

this is the third project ive noticed this..

ive got red in my green, green in my red etc etc.

makes masking stuff a right pain.

even though it shouldnt make any difference to mattes anyway, its worth noting that i have no vfb colour correction applied and my white balance is set to neutral.

ive just checked and the original mattes *do* have pure colours. something is happening when i duplicate the layers into my psd.

psd is a 16 bit rgb file, source mattes are 16 bit png's and i have no adjustments above the mattes in the layer stack.

    any suggestions?! driving me bonkers.

Maybe some color management comes into play?

      Best regards,

If you still need help, please post a tiny cropped part of your PSD (and the original PNG file). Check your Photsohop color settings (and post a screenshot). My guess there is an automatic conversion going on from the color space of the PNG to your working color space when you import the PNG files. Try to set your working color space to sRGB as a test and see if this makes a difference.
