  • VRay Next - Workstation claims interface and rendernode license

    Hey guys,

I'm just starting to test VRay Next in production scenes. We got 1 workstation license which includes 1 rendernode.
The issue I got is that when I render on my workstation it claims both licenses workstation and rendernode. Is this the normal behaviour with VRay Next?

It's been the normal behaviour since 3.0, after the license system changed. That's why the workstation license came with a render node license together.

The Interface license is engaged if you use V-Ray's interface - having Render Setup opened, for example. If not - only a render license will be engaged when rendering within 3dsMax

Ah ok, didnt know that. Thought that rendernode is only for a rendernode. So you definitely need additional rendernode licenses in order to use DR.

Yes - one per machine (physical or VM).
