  • Auto WB white balance in vray Next

    Hi,

I'm rendering my scene in vray Next, which comes out fine while testing test resolution: 1200*800px
Final resolution at 3750*2500 gives an incorrect white balance.

The one with the warm WB (final HiRes) is rendered with bucket.
The cold WB one in lower res, with progressive.

Also I've noticed while testing with a region render the WB changing depending on the region you choose.
Which is annoying, would be better to keep the sample the same, only based on the location of the camera? and not depending on the region?
Please let me know if there are any changes coming to this feature in the future.

    Thanks
    Pieter

    For the difference between resolutions:
Please send your scene along with all assets used in, to support@chaosgroup.com, for investigation.

For the difference depending on the region you choose:
If you run one Light cache calculation on the whole image then you can transfer the Auto white balance value to the camera using Transfer to camera(s) option.
After that disable the Auto white balance and every region will have the same white balance.

      Hi Hristo,

      Thank you for your support.
I'll send the scene to the support address.
