  • Stuck Buckets

Does anyone know why my slave will not complete a bucket? I let it run all night and every bucket from the slave just sits there with no activity on the CPU or RAM? I don't get any error messages and I think my license is working.

Just a shot in the dark. If this was a scene that uses psd-manager - then make sure you install the plugin also on the slave (no license is needed for network rendering BTW).

It doesn't look like a license issue. Can you attache vraylog.txt (located in %TEMP%) from the slave?
Also - which V-Ray build and 3dsMax version are you using?

Yes, I do have PSD Manager, but I am not sure if I was using it on that one. Once I get this project out the door I'll send another one, making sure I am not using PSD Manager.

I will do that when I test it again. I am using V-Ray NEXT and 3DS MAX 2019. I am hoping I don't have to run Back Burner once, first.

It looks like it was PSD Manager. Now, I am getting dark buckets on the slave. I can't launch MAX on the slave because there isn't a graphics card. The dark ones are the slave.

Seems to be a mapping problem. What I am doing is, I am mirroring the project folder, so my workstation and slave have the same path. In this case, the folder structure is C:\Project Folder\Whole House, both having identical files. I tried both UNC and relative, but it doesn't make a difference.

I think I got it. I didn't reboot after setting things to UNC.
