  • Resumable rendering - Render stops

    Hey guys,

    Among my many other issues I'm having with random crashes and render nodes not joining I decided to mitigate lost work/rendertime I'd switch on resumable rendering.

    Since starting a render last night twice it has stopped with the following showing up in the vraylog:

    [2018/Jul/12|10:06:44] error: [VFBCore::SetRegion] Error writing render region to raw image file. | [RIFile::WTRegion] Error writing channel buffer. | [RIFile::WTChan] No file stream
    [2018/Jul/12|10:06:44] error: [VFBCore::SetRegion] Error writing render region to raw image file. | [RIFile::WTRegion] Error writing channel buffer. | [RIFile::WTChan] Error writing tag header. | [RIFile::WriteTagHeader] Error writing to stream. | [PFileStream::Write] (59) An unexpected network error occurred.

    [2018/Jul/12|10:06:45] Threads completed
    [2018/Jul/12|10:06:45] error: [RIFile::Close] No file stream.
    [2018/Jul/12|10:06:45] Calling endFrame().

    This then causes the entire render to stop. I assume that (for whatever reason) VRay couldn't save the resumable file; so it stopped? Is this correct?

    Hi,

    Yes, it has stopped due to the raw output file not being opened for some reason.
    Which V-Ray build is this? Any other errors in the log before this?
