  • Displacement issue

    hello chaospeolple

trying to build a brickwall house. I´m using Vizpark Walls & Tiles and encounter a strange displacement behavior. The displacement seems to be dependent on the underliying edgeflow. So even in plane surfaces there are visible edges in the displaced bricks, along the edgeflow of the geometry. Walls and tiles is using bercon tiles under the hood to generate the maps... but it makes no sense to me that there is this strange "edgeflow"

Does anybody know what to do to get rid of that?
(checked Normals/smoothig groups/ vertex weld/ UVs ...everything fine?!?!)

    any clou...anybody?

    cheers

Hard to tell without a scene and displacement settings, but if I encounter a problem like that with 3D displacement I put a subdivide modifier on top of the geometry at around 15 cm. That should get rid of the seems.

Yes-- works.....and no problem with skyrocketing rendertimes or something, perfect! You made my day!

        thanks!
