ForestPack 6.1.1
Vray 3.6.04
It seems that there is an exponential slowdown during memory unloading after rendering a ForestPack object with 100k+ items. I have a simplified scene with no lights, no materials, GI off, just one vrayproxy inside one forest object. The main render takes 3.7 seconds, but it's another 1min11seconds to unload the memory.
Calling frameEnd() on render instances took 46 seconds. relevant log file section attached.
If I increase the density/ # of forestpack instances, the wait time to unload memory gets longer and longer. I have a test running on a different machine that has no been going for over an hour just to unload, the actual test frame took 4 seconds. That machine has 256GB of RAM, when i spot checked it's status a while ago it had 40GB loaded, and currently still has 30GB.
Seems to be somewhat similar to this thread that claimed resolved in 3.60.03, though I'm not seeing warnings and removing materials/vraysun didn't resolve it.
Any thoughts?
