  • MAcroscript Error when launching Max

I started to get this error when I start Max 2019. Do you guys know what it could be related to?

    Thanks!

Update MAX. There are two updates. I believe the second one includes the first one.

I ran two updates recently, I'm on version 2019.1.1 Update. I checked the Product Updates and the one I have seem to be the latest one.

I even uninstalled VRay Next and the problem still persists... very odd. :/

Oh, my apologies. I was on my phone and didn't see what the error said. I am sure someone at Chaos can help

Heya Fausto, this is just a script that's erroring, rather than the script error itself so it's not actionable. Normally what'll happen is max will highlight the line in the script where it's breaking or in the maxscript listener at the bottom right of the screen (pink and white text lines - right click here and choose open listener window) and you'll normally get some red text which shows exactly where things broke. Since it's only the script to export to .vrscene which is for command line / linux rendering / export to vray in other applications do you think it's something you'll miss or is it just annoying more than anything else?

            Cheers!

            John

              Hey John!

Thanks for replying! I attached the error. Not sure if is related to VRay at all at this point. Do you know what this is?

                Hello,

Actually Max creates those temp mcr files from the original V-Ray scripts. If for some reason Max crashes while preparing the mcr files - they are left in a bad state and you get errors.
So to fix them - you can just remove the temp files and Max will create them again.

                Best regards,
                Yavor
