I´m a bit stuck trying to figure out how to do this:
I got an anglerfish with the glowing bait thing moving throuh vrayenvironment fog and a phoenix smoke grid.
I made a mask for the VrayLight material but I can´t get it to light either the environment fog or the Phoenix sim...
I can get a nice light by adding a vray light and placing it near the bait part of the anglerfish, but it doesn´t look like the light is coming from that part then.
I also can´t turn the whole anglerfish into a Vray Light mesh of course, so I don´t know how to proceed here...
Any ideas?
I also tried creating a blend material with a refractive SSS material where the bait is and placing a VrayLight inside, but something in this setup keeps crashing max.
Also I have a similar problem with a lanternfish, that has bioluminiscent dots and I couldn´t use that solution there.
