  • IPR: Motion blur shutter speed doesn't get updated

It seems the shutter speed value has no effect in IPR. I have to manually refresh to see the changes. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Is this a known issue that is already being worked on?

      Hello,

      Sorry again for the delays.
I'm trying to reproduce the problem but no luck so far. You mean the shutter speed value in the VRayPhysicalCamera ?

      Best regards,

Yes. When I change it while IPR is running, I don't get an update in the VFB.

yep we had that with IPR eversince it was introduced.
also when you change EV value in max environment properties you always have to restart IPR.
Woudl be cool to fix that also

oliver - I'm also trying with Max2017 and V-Ray 3.60.04 and changing the shutter speed updates IPR. Maybe there is something scene specific that I'm missing. Could you replace all the geometry with some simple ones and share the scene ?

martin - reproduced this one here. Will check what can we do about it.

            Best regards,

Yes, we also get an update in IPR. But the motion blur is staying exaclty the same, until we stop and restart IPR. Please look closely if you can see the change. Could you post some images?

Anyway, here is some super simple setup that shows the problem.
Start IPR at frame 50 and change the shutter speed from 0,5f to 5f or even 0,0f. You will get an update in IPR, but no change in the motion blur.
EDIT: And while we are at it: Enabling or disabling the motion blur checkbox in the Physical Camera also doesn't do anything.

Thanks for the scene - i see the problem now. Both problems will require a full IPR restart since we'll need to reevaluate all geometries. Will add an issue in our system about this.
