I am currently running into a problem when using the vray clipper.
What I am trying to do is use objects to cut into a mesh and then use a copy of the cutter objects with a refractive material to basically fill the holes.
So my current workflow is:
1. Scatter objects with forest back onto the object.
2. Clone
3. Convert Clone to Editable Poly
4. Pick the freshly converted clone as clipper object
5. Add Push Modifier to the Forest Object, so the polys don't lie directly on top of each other.
6. Add Refractive Material (in this example Glass Material)
7. Render
The inside of the refractive object will render Black as if it doesn't let any light through. (Affect Shadows is ticked)
If I don't use the clipper and just shove render the refractive objects intersecting with the mesh they'll render as I'd expect.
I am using 3ds Max 2019 and Vray Next 4.03.02.28334
