  • VRay Next GPU Rendering Render Element Problems

    Few things that would be great to be fixed using Next GPU rendering:

    1) Bug not being able to exclude objects from alpha channel
    2) Bug VRayObjectID and VRayMatlID render elements not being AA filtered

    Both are known limitations, but there are no plans for supporting them soon. If there are more requests we will give them higher priority.
    If it was that easy, it would have already been done

        Better filtering oF Id render elements comes with the bucket sampler, which already works internally and will be shipped with the next major service pack.

          Blago, does your comment pertain to GPU rendering in Next or CPU rendering (thought this is where bucket sampling was implemented)? And did you mean "of" instead or "or"? I'm just trying to make sure I understand your comment.

            Sorry, it is a typo I fixed.
            I wanted to say that we are adding bucket rendering for V-Ray GPU in one of the next V-Ray Next service packs, and having the bucket sampler in V-Ray GPU will allow us to have proper id elements filtering.
