  • Panorama rendering except spherical panorama and cube 6x1

    Hi everyone,

I have been trying to render a panorama image that look like the image below

however, i can only render an equirectangular image with "spherical panorama" or angular boxy image with "cube 6x1"
whenever i tried to use "cylindrical (point or otho)" the render comes out as a blank white image.

Is there any way to do that cylindrical rendering or software that transform equirectangular to that cylindrical image above?
I have also tried "Flexify 2" plug in for photoshop but still can only stick to full sphere and cube.

Will really appreciate if anyone can solve this problem for me. Have been trying to find an answer for months.

    THANK YOU!!

    Hi,

    Try using Cylindrical with FOV=360.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

there's cylindrical (point) and (otho)tried it with FOV 360 before but it came out with a blank light blue rendering. does the resolution size matter? since i used image aspect: 2.0 for sperical panorama and cylindrical

Sorry, forgot to mention - use Ortho. The aspect ratio depends on what you will be doing with the image after that, but 2 seems too small.

does the cylinder height matter? what number should i put if i am doing a FOV 360 cylinder?
It still come out with a light blue image with otho (FOV 360) (cylinder height: 180) aspect ratio 6
