  • lens flares problem

    hi,
had this scene setup on vray 3.4 and was rendering fine, after upgrade to vray next, I´m having extreme color dots on the renders that create wrong flares.
    what would be causing this?

There is another user who posted the same problem. Vlado said that he is working on a fix.

Email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com with your 3ds Max version and I will get you a build that might help - if not, I will need the scene to figure out what's going on.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

vlado, the version you sent me, fixed the issue! thank you.
Is this going to be implemented on vray cloud?

Thanks for the confirmation, Leonardo! Yes, we will implement this in the V-Ray cloud. I'm not sure when exactly, but I will let you know.

                Best regards,
                Vlado

vlado, so, if I´m going to use vraycloud at this moment, I better stay on latest official release, right?

                    hi vlado
I´ve notice a weird glare leak with this new version you sent me. Happened in 2 different scenes.

It doesn't look like an error to me in the last images you posted. It is the reflection of the light source in the metal parts of the chair. I bet if you pick the pixel values, they are way above a value of 1. Which would be correct, as it is the light fixture at the ceiling being reflected. The glare at the rail on the balcony seems to be the sun being reflected.

those you mention are the correct behavior. but, take a look at the upper left corner and you will see what I´m talking about.
