  • Merged proxy takes previous proxy's mesh file

Recently, every time I merge in a new max file that contains a vray proxy, the new proxies all default to the last proxy that was merged or selected prior to merging the new file. Example; I am populating a scene with many plants. I merge in one plant that is saved as a proxy within a max file by dragging and dropping the max file to merge it into the scene. When the item is merged, the mesh file in the new plant's proxy perams is changed to the same mesh file as the previous proxy. If I merge in a max file that has multiple proxies within the file, every one of those proxies becomes the same proxy as the previous proxy as well. Any ideas? I have never seen this issue, and I have been merging proxies into my scenes using this method for a decade.
