    Hey there,

    i´m having trouble figuring out if this is possible...

    Can I render two passes of a scene, when there is Vrayenvironment fog involved?

    I have the set rendered and now want to render the hero character.
    I´ve put an override material witha VrayMaterialWrapper set to "Matte" and Alpha -1 and excluded the hero character.
    But the alpha isn´t clean, as the background is still present through the Environment fog.

    Am I not doing this right or can´t it be done?

    I´ve aso considered rendering the fog as a separate passe, which would give me more control in post (for example: back to beauty comp with vray light select elements doesn´t work properly), but then it seems I´ll also have to make two light setups, because of course without the fog the scene is much brighter then with it.

      Ah, seems like I found it. Turn off "affect camera rays" and it seems to be working....
