  • Slow lightcache calculations with VrayProxy

Hi, I have a scene with 3 large proxy objects (5 millions triangles each original mesh) and the lighcache takes quite a bit more time compared to the scene with the original meshes. Is this perfectly normal and is there a way to make this quicker? Using version 3.60
    Thanks

Proxies are generally a bit slower, but it depends on a few things. Were the trees originally one single object when you exported them, or separate objects (for leaves, trunk etc)? If they were separate objects, then they would render slower.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

It very complex machines that I merged in one single object before creating the proxy. It's probably one of the cases where it's a bit slower, thanks Vlado.
