  • CPU IPR - Crash

am experiencing some really weird issue going on with the CPU IPR
1st i would like to really thank you for the stability of the IPR after the update compared to previous versions

i noticed the problem happen only in isolate object mode with only one object there
and crash the moment i draw a region render
problem only happens with the CPU IPR ,GPU IPR works great

    hope you can address that

    Hello,

I'm trying to reproduce the crash but it doesn't happen in my simple scene. Can you send your scene to our support ?
Also when Max crashes it should create a crash dump called 3dsmax_minidump.dmp in your temp folder (%TEMP% in the windows explorer address bar) - if you can send one it might also help us find the problem.

    Best regards,
    Yavor

i kept tracking the scene deleting objects that doesn't affect the problem and ended up with this very simple scene

      steps to encounter the problem
1- start doing an IPR and wait 10-20 sec
      2- draw a region render
3- isolate either the plane or the teapot
4- randomly keep drawing regions around the object and max will crash

when the scene is heavy the scene will crash at the 1st region drawn

      i also uploaded the 3dsmax_minidump.dmp

hope you guys can find whats happening
      thanks in advance

        Hello,

Thanks for the scene and the crash dump. Unfortunately the problem is related to the ForestPro object in the scene. The new Update1 causes some incompatibilities with older versions of ForestPro. I guess Itoo guys will soon release an updated version supporting Update1.

        Best regards,
