  • DR Problems

I am observing very strange issues using the last Update 1 - if my buckets (with 4 Slaves) move by default almost all of the renders are not 100% rendered and somehow meanwhile the render never finishes. There are some unrendered buckets in the upper left corner (which should be the end of the render actually) .
Other then that sometimes during the process, there are some buckets which look as they are just missed - if I am pointing them with the follow the mouse cursor render mode then in the most cases the slaves run over them...
Has someone met already these problems and is there any solution?

    Thanks in advance.

are you running DR spawner as a service? if so try running it as an actual process by loging into the workstation. Also, make sure your network paths are correct on all machines and that all machines have correct vray installation. (those three are usually the general culprit)

No - DR Spawner doesn't run as service. Everything has worked perfectly before the installing of the update. Never had the problem before. Thanks anyway.

I can confirm we have this too and accross all the scenes. Not scene specific. Happens on dr throught backburner and also in dr session on local.

Interesting is that somehow the v-ray next 4.02.05 is handling the memory better - a scene with 3d people and evermotion trees (almost without proxies) crashes with the last update...the error message is out of memory. I have installed the old build and it's rendering already without any problems.

I run multiple tests here with multiple scenes on ~35 DR hosts but I can't get such behaviour.
Can you download one of the Courseware scene for 3dsMax from the link bellow and try to render them into your environment?

Can you get me that scene?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

So here is the solutions for me - just uninstall every old v-ray build on WS (workstatoin) or RS (render slave). Restart and install the last update. It should work.
                Cheers
