  • Render Export Gamma Problem

    I just got back into producing our exterior renderings a few weeks ago, and can't for the life of me figure out why my exports do not have the same contrast as the render frame window. Output looks very washed out.

    My first hunch is a gamma problem, but I am using all the old settings from 2018, and the render looks fine.

    * Gamma Correction at 2.2
    * Using HDRI Map for Daylight.
    * Exporting to png, jpg, tga, etc... with Gamma set to Automatic issues same results.

    Any thoughts?

    Open it in PS and change grays to .4545. This will correct the double gamma issue. Not sure how your max set is setup, but when you save, instead of using Automatice, select custom and leave it at 1.0.

      Thank you. Setting it to 1.0 at export worked.
