  • Vray next 1.1 - vraycam shift viewport problem

    WorkFlow:

    VrayCam added to a scene.
Using vertical shift as i'll be adding this to a photo that has a vertical shift.
Viewport looks fine and IPR works great.
Going out of the viewport, the VrayCam moves vertically like the shift has been set to zero, however the IPR works correct. This doesn't happen all the time. It's very sporadic when it occurs
It would appear the vertical shift is buggy when it's used.

If using a PhysCamera, no viewport issues.

Any idea on why this happens and if Chaos knows about this to rectify the problem?
    thank you

Yes, I know why it happens; whether we can do something about it is a bit more complicated, but I will make a note to look into it.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

It looks like we will have a fix for this in a day or two; email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com if you want to test it.

      Best regards,

The fix is in the stable nightlies.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

          Hello Vlado

We installed the Fix last week however we are still seeing shift errors.

          What I was doing.
          • Photo taken with Vertical shift
          • Background image added in max 2019
          • Added roads and other geometries for alignment
          • Vray Camera added and edited the shift
          • Got it close enough.
          • Isolated the road for a purpose that I can’t remember
          • Max Camera viewport moved as indicated below
To enable to viewport to look correct again, I select another camera within the viewport and then switch back to the original camera and the alignment is fixed again.

This viewport shift doesn’t happen all the time even if I isolate objects. It’s so random.
