  • render animation with gpu next

    Hi,
when i render out an animation with just a moving camera, i normaly prerender the lightcache and then use it "from file".
In vray next gpu this option is greyed out.
When prerender lightcache in vray next and then switch to next gpu to render the animation with the lightcache from file, vray messages comes with warnings to missing adaptive lights...

Trying out "Flythrough"Mode in nxt gpu now, but can i stop render after a few frames and later resume rendering without having different lighting in the animation?

What is the best workflow to render an animation in gpu next?

The question is about lightcache in VrayNext and VrayNext GPU.

It seems that there is a different handling with adaptive lights in calculation of Lightcache.

Fly-through mode is not working very well with adaptive lights. Just use it in single frame mode with the recommended settings for animation (Retrace = 8 and higher subdivs count)
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

So i have to calculate lightcache with every frame of the animation?

Yes - as simple as that.
