Stopping a rendering

I'll look deeper into this. I just brought my slave, which is a BOXX RenderPro, into my office and I can hear it spinning 30 minutes after each render. No, it's not half of what my main machine is.

Can you send the logs from the salve and main machine to support@chaosgroup.com ? It might be good to connect remotely and perform a few tests.

I see a raytrace error in the V-Ray messages. How do I find it? There used to be a script, but it stopped working a long time ago.

Have you tried the right click - V-Ray scene converter ?

Yes, I do that with every project. It never has found raytrace materials.

Can you try to find the Raytrace maps in the slate editor ? You can get the map number from the Log - Warnings.
The converter script works in most situations, but if you have raytrace maps attached to different material slots than the Reflect/refract it will not touch them. Also It won't convert raytrace map when is part of a V-Ray Mtl.

Yeah, I have been looking for it. Why does it totally cripple the render? I am using GPU, so I am fine for now.

I assume you have `show incompatible` turned on or it may not be visible in the material editor ? Maybe a raytrace shadow on a standard light or does Vray convert those, I can`t remember ?

Raytrace map is unsupported and as a such can lead to rendering problems. If the scene renders fine without it, that's great, but if the issue continue then we will need to inspect the scene.

It doesn't render in the CPU at all. GPU it is rendering great. I haven't tried my exterior scenes in GPU, but I tried here and it worked, so that is good. I sent you the scene yesterday.

Searching from the top pulldown, in the material browser, allowed me to find it. I searched Raytrace and it listed it.
