  • V-Ray 4.10.02: Directionality causes problems on shadow catcher

Hey guys, I have some problems here with the directionality feature of the V-Ray Light. First two images show a standard situation, teapot on a plane. Image 1 is without directionality, image 2 is with directionality of 0.7.
So far, so good. The second row of images now has the plane set to shadow catcher with the button from the toolbar. For some reason, the shadow gets transparent with directionality of 0.7. Why is that? Scene file attached.

This was fixed in the nightly builds a while back and will go into the next service pack.

Hm, I can't really reproduce the issue here, even with the current official builds. Just open the scene, set the directionality to 0.7 and render, right?

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Yes, indeed. Let me check again if I did something stupid.
Well, I just checked and the problem is as described in the first post. Set direcionality

EDIT: I just found out it happens in IPR only! I didn't test production renderer, sorry. However, if you could fix it in IPR too, that would be great.

Ah, yes, now I can reproduce the issue - will fix it. Thanks a lot for the pointer!
