  • Next Update 1: Difference in displacement betweem IPR and production render

    Hey guys,
I get a strange difference in displacement between IPR on CPU and production render. Please take a look at the attached screenshots. Any ideas what this might be coming from?

Do you have View-dependent ON? Displacement in IPR is generated on IPR start, so if you launch it with camera closer to the object - it will be more detailed than if for example the camera in the production render is more distant from the displaced geometry. It will stay in this state for the whole IPR session unless you make some change to the scene that will trigger recompute of the displacement.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

      Hi,

I have some issues too, but with substance 2 plugin.
The IPR looks okay, but production render is just flat pushed surface.
Works as expected with standard maps.

Nope. It also happens in 2D-mode.

Can you send me the scene?

Just made a simple scene at home using max 2019, it works as expected with substance !
Will try the same scene at work on max 2017, the one I had the issue with.

            I keep you updated.
