In the studio we are experiencing artifacts with the new glare feature while rendering on our render nodes. Especially the ones without any graphics card.
The rendering nodes having proper GPU's render the frames without any issues.
But the render nodes without any graphics card creates weird artefacts around the Bloom/Glare size variable changes the distance of the artefact from the illuminated objects
Turning off the Hardware Accelerated checkbox make things worse.
At extreme values there are still artefacts visible when Hardware Accelerated turned on.
We're experiencing this on all our render nodes (We have around 10 nodes). All of them have the exact Vray build on windows 10
Vray version: Vray Next, update 1.1 (4.10.02.28789)
Windows 10, 3dsmax 2018
I've reproduced the error in a simple scene. Please check if you experience the same.
In the sample scene The Glare intensity has an extremely high value. This is just to show you the problem.
We're experiencing issue even at very low values.
And rendering this on a farm gives us a flickering glare pass which is really annoying.
As a note: I believe this is not based on the final nightly builds but after new glare system with the release of Vray Next.
