  • Multiples VDB issue on render

    hello,

3DSMAX 2019 / Lastest release VrayNEXT and PhoenixFD.

I'm importing multiple VDB sequence from houdini in phoenix simulator grid.
I use thoose multiple VDB to compose artisticly a Cloud scene inside 3DSMAX.

The issue is that we can see grid border inside the clouds

Do you know how to proceed to not have this issue ?

    Hello,

If you're using V-Ray GPU, this is a known issue with grids with overlapping walls. A workaround would be to shift a bit the grids so that the walls won't overlap.

If you're rendering on the CPU - this should not happen and it will be best if you send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can check it.

    Cheers,

Thanks you Georgi, i'm on GPU. So, back to CPU this time.
Look very different by the way .. There is a workflow to have the same render in CPU than GPU ?
OR i need to re work my shaders and lighting ?
