I can't get elements to render if I use the Vray Next framebuffer in Max 2019. I've recently upgraded to Next and have been using Vray for over 10-years so I don't think it's a user error. It may be a bug. If I use the Max framebuffer things render perfectly.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled VRay to make sure I'm starting with defaults and so that VRay can overwrite something that might have gotten in the way. I've deleted the Max "ENU" folder and restarted Max to let it rebuild ENU. Still no luck.
With this fresh reinstall of Next I have a simple scene with 3 cubes, each with a unique G-Buffer ID, 1, 2 and 3. I have a 'MultiMatte' element in the Render Elements and have set the destination folder. I simply turn OFF 'Enable built-in frame buffer' and the element will render perfectly. I now turn ON the 'Enable built-in frame buffer' and all is get is the RGB image file, no element. I have not touched any other settings since reinstalling and starting new tests.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
