  • Vraymetalball rendering problem

    I'm creating trickles of water down a glass and using particle flow and vraymetaballs to produce the effect.

    The problem is that even with an overide material on the vraymetaball object it appears black. It also seems to be missing blocks of render information. Any ideas what is happening ?

    do you have the metaball step size sufficiently low? i know when its too high you get some black glitches creeping in...


    p.s. you should do your trickles in tyflow. it rocks. i am currently doing exactly that. follwed this tut as a starting point:

    ive tweaked it since then.. now the drops move at different speeds based on their size, and fly off if the can moves fast.

      I'll check the step size.

      That actually looks really good. Much quicker than particle flow too. Thanks.
