VRay Next 1.2 GPU Volume grid render difference

  • VRay Next 1.2 GPU Volume grid render difference

    I cannot for the life of me get the Volume grids in the GPU renderer to self-illuminate. Two quick examples, identical settings for the Volume Grid. Left is GPU, right is CPU. What can I do to fix this?

    Hey,

    Unfortunately the Fire Lights that are created by the Volume Grid are still not supported on the GPU. That's why you get this difference.
    A somewhat of a workaround would be if you create some hidden lights manually.

      Aww, that's unfortunate. Is there any chance that feature will be added to the GPU renderer at any soon point? Thanks for your response!

          I guess the options that are for V-Ray can be grayed out when using V-Ray GPU, so there is less confusion ?

              And well I hate to bug you this way, but could you perhaps give me an extremely general, not getting my hopes up idea of when you might be able to add that feature? Thanks!
