  • Vray Velocity Pass Issue from VFB

We are having an issue with getting the same Velocity pass shown in the Vray Frame Buffer when saving as a individual render elements vs a single file with all the render elements using OpenEXR. If we save the render elements as multiple files it shows up correctly in AE. If we save the file as a single file out of the VFB we get a file completely different from what was shown in the VFB (feels clamped??). Is DWAA compression playing a part in this issue?

Anyone gotten this to save correctly in a multi pass EXR? Is the light grey colored Velocity pass correct or do most people expect the dark black, reds and yellows for velocity? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

if you save from vfb into exr it should be the same if you use save to multichannel exr. However the grey value can be removed if you shuffle out the red and green channels and merge them back together you will get correct velocity.
