  • Possible FP-related Unhandled Exception?

    Hi folks,

    Just upgraded everyone from Forest Pack 5.4.1 to Forest Pack 6.1.6. We've been running into this issue more and more this past week. Hitting this exception when submitting to our Deadline render farm.

    For the most part we've correlated it with Forest objects, particularly those with Custom Edit turned on. I've reached out to iToo, but have had no success in solving it (other than just deleting all of the Forest objects).

    Additionally we're also seeing some missing ClassIDs but we're not sure what they're actually from. There's no missing DLL errors when opening these scenes.

    I'm sort of at the end of my rope trying to solve this one.

    Other things to note:
    3ds Max 2018 SP4
    FP 6.1.6
    V-Ray 3.60.04

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Edit: Just wanted to add that I have been in contact with Chaos support, but haven't received a response in ~2 days and this is a fairly pressing issue to us.

      Thanks Vlado! Slight update is we tested FP621 and that seemed to render the jobs just fine. Perhaps some bug between 616 and 621? We'll be doing some more tests today.

        So we found out that the silent install on our farm didn't actually work correctly. With a manual GUI install, both 616 and 621 work fine. Glad to find a resolution, unfortunate we lost a week of production to it haha. I think I'm all set with this, thanks though!
