  • IPR Fog: Light Cache pass to beauty testing CPU

I use the light cache pass in IPR to get a quick preview of how things are looking. This works well when testing different lighting setups (HDRI's etc), and is pretty consistent with the final beauty render pass.

In my experience though, IPR is pretty inconsistent when testing fog.

See attached images. As you can see the IPR lightcache pass is wildly different to that of the beauty. This makes it really difficult to test efficiently.

Is there an approach that can give me better previews during the lightcache stage?

    Hope im being clear here.

Basically the image to the left is the lightcache build and then the right is the final render.

Ok. This is issue is resolved by reducing the Gizmo falloff, it was too high. It must apply the cut off at render stage?

I've set a custom fall off map for this instead.
