  • Vray GPU crash when changing VraySoftbox vignette settings in debug mode

Vray GPU crash when changing VraySoftbox vignette settings in debug isolate lighting mode.

Also GPU crash when moving around HDRI domelight (in viewport) with debug isolate lighting mode.

It's the type of crash that needs 3ds max to be restarted.

Is anyone else able to reproduce that?

I presume you meant IPR, rather than V-Ray GPU. That being said, I cannot seem to reproduce the crashes - it might be something in the specific scene. It's best you send it to support@chaosgroup.com for analysis. Also, mention which versions of V-Ray and 3ds max are you using and reference this thread as well.

Hi Aleksandar, yea I meant IPR. Yea I started a fresh scene and they both perform perfectly. There is something that I am doing consistently with almost all of my scenes that messes with this. I'm going to figure it out and give you the exact problem when I can. Thanks

Do you get the 3ds Max CER dialog in these cases? If yes, it would be good to send any crash dumps over (the file 3dsmax_minidump.dmp in your temporary folder; type %temp% in Windows Explorer to go there), they will also be very helpful.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Is the CER dialog the 3ds max crash report? Sure I'll send all of that over the next time it happens
