  • Vray 2.1 AI denoiser on Kepler architecture

    Hi,

Some of our laptops stopped using the AI denoiser after upgrade to the latest vray next version. After some research I noticed this in the help section:

Name:	denoise.jpg
Views:	168
Size:	123.6 KB
ID:	1050030

These are older laptops with kepler gpu's

Is there any way to re-enable the denoiser for older architecture? Or are we forced to upgrade our machines?

    Thx in advance!

This is on Nvidia I think not ChaosGroup
Newer Optix has solved many issues, and consumes less memory and calculates very fast.

You will need to upgrade to newer cards :I

      Hey, Nils

Well, I think the best way to handle this is to upgrade the PC, but if you can't do it just stick to V-Ray NEXT 4.12 and drawback driver version to 4.30 or even 4.19.

Maybe is not the answer that you would expect but this is a present situation.

        Hi Boyan,

This is certainly not the answer that I expected. Ok, we need to figure out what to do now.

        Thanks for the quick reply!
