  • Animating VrayMultiSubTex

I can't animate visibility or on/off state of VrayMultiSubTex layers. Am I missing something or is it not possible? I am doing a simple cartoon character animation and want to switch between some face expression over time. What would be the most efficient way for this task?

Could you attach a screen grab of the material setup (or send it over to philip.shounev@chaosgroup.com) ?

I think I was wrong thinking of the usage of this map. Probably what should work would be VraySwitchMaterial - I was just looking for the same functionality but just for textures not whole materials

Indeed VRaySwitchMtl is a possible solution. However, there's another option which won't require switching materials. You could try using a <frameNum> tag inside your bitmap or VRayHDRI node, but a sequence of incrementally numbered bitmaps should be created at first. F.e if your files are named "sequence00#", the tag would be: sequence<frameNum>.png (jpeg etc.)
