I am having a returning problem of flickering hi-light “fireflies” which seems to go unnoticed by the AA sampling threshold during rendering?
There is no question, that lowering the Noise Threshold further will reduce the flickering, but it comes at a heavily increased render time, which is not necessary for 99% of the reaming frame.
If there is a fix which primarily targets the hi-lights without clamping the output into oblivion, and increasing the render times five fold, then please let me know. Thank you : )
See film link for visual example. (Cooking top edge, and glassware)
My general settings are straight out the box, default render settings.
Meaning unclamped linear workspace etc.
The problem persists with no GI active, so it’s strictly AA sampling based.
Vray Next, Update 2
Adaptive (bucket)
Min 1 Max 24
Noise Threshold 0.04
