  • Max 2019 Vray Viewport IPR not updating

    Hi,

I've searched far and wide for a solution to this issue, but to no avail.
So far the viewport IPR is not working as it should, the render is not updating between the initial prepass and finished render. It's like the progressive aspect is disabled.
Viewport navigation, final output and everything else work as expected.

I'm running two xeon 6140's and using the framebuffer instead of the viewport is always snappy.

I've tested the same vray version at work on the same max version, with no issues.

Which V-Ray version is that? Can you record a short video to demonstrate?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

I've used the latest official build, and one the newest dayli builds as well.
      Here is a screen capture

Does the screen capture make sense?
Do you need more info on the matter?

          Hello,
we have the same problem. I cannot figure it how to fix it or why its happening. Only I know is a workaroud. Switch to activeshade rendering (see attached image) and then viewport IPR works as it should.
Please tell me you know how to fix it Thanks

BTW I already try to figure it out with support but with no outcome. You can check all our communication if you have some archive, ticket number was 723-254-040

its not so good workaround... it will be much better to fix the issue

I've just checked the ticketing system for your entry and seems our support team has already proposed you a potential fix on 30/05/2019 and you didn't write back.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

But have you tried the proposed fix? And if you had, why didn't you write back to the support?

Just a reminder guys, the ticketing system is the official support channel.

Back on the topic - do you have by any chance V-Ray Light Lister opened during those IPR sessions?

last proposed fix was reinstall 3ds max... we shitched to new version of max from that time and the problem persist. the problem must be somehere else. i started folowing this thread only because someone have exactly same problem as me and want to find out something useful about it. about your question no vray light lister is not running
