    Hello
let me start by saying I'm pretty happy with the recent updates regarding IPR but there are few issues that I would like to see resolved in the future .
but before listing my issues I would like to know if there is any plans to make IPR update with every single parameter ,or the plan is to only fix the reported issues from the users?

    Anyway, my issues are :
1-IPR won't update if I have added an object to exclude override material list (I use this a lot)
2-IPR will show blurry render If I jumped from a camera to perspective and the camera had DOF enabled
3-Pick material/object/focus doesn't work properly with "Real zoom"
4-Viewport IPR doesn't respect "2D Pan zoom mode"
5-IPR won't update when changing displace map amount in the Vray mtl ..
also if the object that have this material also using vray displacement mod on 3d mode and use object mtl is checked the object shading will be affected by this change but not the actual geometry , meaning starting IPR while this value is zero and change it to 100 will show some shading changes to the surface only (as if it is just bump) but to see the actual effect we need to stop and run IPR again .
6-IPR undersampling and rays per pixel can't be changed fir Next cpu renderer (is there a hidden maxscript code for that? ) .

This is what I have in mind for now . will update the thread with more if I remember any other issues .

    Thanks in advanced !

Thanks for the reports! I'll write up some notes so that our developers are informed about the issues. I will provide feedback after the discussion.

We are constantly trying to improve the IPR by both listening to users' issue reports and further developing the feature's functionality. Most of the reported issues are already known and listed in our developers' to-do lists - I've additionally bumped their priority and forwarded the other for investigation.
Regarding your 6th point - these options cannot be controlled in V-Ray CPU - the quality of IPR depends on the image sampler settings, the undersampling is solved by using the preview from the calculated Light Cache and the Rays per pixel parameter is fixed at 1 (when using progressive). The Rays Per Pixel mainly concerns GPUs, because they work better when handling a lot of samples at once, the CPU, on the other hand, does not have such needs so we've set it to a fixed value. Could you share the reason for wanting to change these values in V-Ray CPU?

Thanks! I'm glad that you are aware of those and working on them : ))
Regarding the 6th point . the main feature for me is the undersampling amount as while I'm moving around with IPR it become distracting sometimes seeing these big pixels and make the comparison with previous state a bit harder so having a way to controle that like in GPU would be great .
for the Rays Per Pixel I found it useful to get cleaner renders faster sometimes and I thought I would try it with cpu but it is not a big deal I can live without it )

          Hello,

I have not tested 1,3,4,5,6 but №2:-IPR will show blurry render If I jumped from a camera to perspective and the camera had DOF enabled is still here in latest version of vray 6.... in the end of 2022, even after 2 versions, multiple updates and hotfixes.
