  • Lighting differences between Vray Next and 3.6

Hi the studio I work or has been using 3.6 but is in the process of testing to switch over to Vray Next. However we are finding some 3.6 scenes that we are testing in Vray Next aren't rendering the same as they previously were. The main issue is that I have a car interior but in Vray next the glass is affecting the reflections and specular of the cars interior. If you remove the glass or turn off visible to refraction/reflections it renders how it did in Vray 3.6, but this isn't desirable. It's like the glass is blocking light but this isn't an issue when working in 3.6.

I cannot share my files as this is a work project, but is this a bug in Vray Next or is there a setting that has been added that I can turn off? Not seen this issue before.

    Thanks in advance guys!

Best you send a sample scene where the issue is present to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a look. Mention this thread and your software versions in the e-mail as well.
